Editor, Whitman Express:

On May 10, the mail carriers of the Whitman Post Office and the volunteers of the Whitman Food Pantry, collected 5778 pounds of food from generous residents of Whitman. We are so pleased and thankful that the businesses and citizens of Whitman rallied behind our effort to help those among us who are struggling to provide meals for their families. Our efforts were dependent on your shared concern for your neighbors who are in need. We sincerely thank Dunkin Donuts, Venus Pizza and Papa Gino’s for their contributions. The volunteers from various organizations who helped at the food pantry, as well as on the streets, are also appreciated. They helped to make a potentially long and tiring day much easier for all of the mail carriers. Thank You!
