Teen hurt 'car surfing' in Whitman |

Anthony Stone, 19, of Dorchester was med-flighted to Brigham and Women’s hospital after being struck by a car on Pine Circle in Whitman Thursday night.
Stone was med-flighted to Boston after being struck by a car Thursday night.
According to Whitman Police a 911 call reported a person riding on the outside of a motor vehicle. Stone reportedly fell off the vehicle and was then run over by the car.
Officer’s arrived on scene around 7:30 p.m. along with Whitman Fire and Rescue. According to Whitman Police Plymouth County Sheriffs BCI Unit was called to photograph the scene.
Sean Carlson, 19 of Roslindale, was identified as the operator of the vehicle. He was placed under arrest and is currently facing charges of OUI liquor with serious bodily injury, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and minor in possession of alcohol. The incident is under investigation by Officer Eric Campbell and Detective Stephen Drass of Whitman Police.
According to Whitman Police, Stone, and Carlson were visiting acquaintances in the area at the time of the incident.
Friday morning a spokesperson at Brigham and Women’s confirmed Stone is listed in fair condition.
