South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School senior Ed Hubbard took home a bronze medal in carpentry and junior Andre Stocker won a bronze medal in small engine repair at the recent state Skills USA competition.

BRISK BUSINESS: Members of the Hanson Garden Club were busy on Saturday during their annual plant sale at the Nathaniel Thomas Mill. Wendy Benoit, Georgia Parros, Joan Godwin, Sandy Gustafson and Elaine Wright display geraniums for sale.

Partners HealthCare presented its 12th annual Partners in Excellence Awards to employees of Partners-affiliated institutions during award ceremonies including the following Hanson residents: Erin Cox of Massachusetts General Hospital; Raymond Eldridge Jr., Patricia Kneeland and Clyde Sauls, all of Partners Home Care; and Susan McDonald of Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Susan’s Studio of Dance of Hanson/Brockton is celebrating its 40th anniversary and is searching for all former students to participate in the show to be held the end of June. Rehearsals are starting on Tuesday, May 20 at the Brockton studio. Miss Susan is looking forward to seeing and hearing from you.
