Samuel Smith earned second honors (grades of 80 or higher) at Xaverian Brothers for the third marking period. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Smith.
Partners HealthCare presented its 12th annual Partners in Excellence Awards to employees of Partners-affiliated institutions including the following Whitman residents: Tim Bryson of Faulkner; Kelley Anne Hall, Deanna Kovalski and Joyce McIntyre of Mass. General Hospital; Bonnie McClymont of Partners Community HealchCare, Inc.; Elizabeth Smallcomb of Brigham and Women’s Hospital; and Barbara Steele of Partners Healthcare.
Team Tama, a national karate competition team sponsored by Sagamore Plumbing & Heating, Inc. competed in Springfield, Mass. on Sunday, May 4. Team members won the following awards: Fighting Division: Ashley Melanson, of Whitman, first place, Mario Mastro, of E. Bridgewater, and Eddie Skeffington, of Whitman, second Place, Steven Gamble, Joe Sullivan and Devon Tremblay of Whitman, third Place.
