Joseph Bulman, 83, of Bridgewater, formerly of East Bridgewater, died April 16, 2008. He was the husband of the late Joan (Abbott) Bulman.
Son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Willis) Bulman, he was born and raised in Hanson and was a graduate of Whitman High School.
He served with the United Sates Marine Corps during World War II and Korea, earning a Purple Heart and the rank of sergeant.
Mr. Bulman worked for Liberty Mutual as a systems analyst for 25 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a member and past master of the Hanson Tri-Town Masonic Lodge and a member of First Church in West Bridgewater.
He enjoyed traveling in his motor home, visiting 49 states, all but Alaska. He wintered in Florida.
Mr. Bulman leaves his children, Jane Oda and her husband Dale of Honolulu, Jean Upton and her husband Robert and Joan Eldridge and her husband Steven of West Bridgewater; his siblings, James of Whitman and Mary Haraldstad of Carver; his grandchildren Marcus and Chelsea Oda, Andrew Upton and Sheena, Alison and Samantha Eldridge; and his companion, Elaine Powers. He was brother of the late Ellen Nava and Neil Bulman.
