Bessie A. “Betty” (Lambert) Ieronimo, 85, of Halifax, died Monday in the St. Joseph Manor Nursing Home in Brockton. She was the wife of Joseph A. Ieronimo.
Mrs. Ieronimo was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada and raised in Boston. She was the daughter of the late James A. and Margaret (Clark) Lambert. She was a Hanson resident for 20 years and has been in Halifax for the past 12 years.
She worked in the circulation department at the Brockton Enterprise for 10 years as well as many different jobs, but mostly a caring mother and housewife.
In addition to her husband, Joe, she leaves her son Dennis Ieronimo of Somerville; her daughters, Donna Swanson and her husband Keith of Halifax, Lisa McIver of Marshfield and Dina Ieronimo of East Bridgewater; also seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Thomas, George and Ronald Lambert, Margaret and Lillian Rideout.
Her services were be held on Friday, April 25 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady the Lake Church, Halifax. Burial was in Central Cemetery, Halifax.
